In the halls of Fabbroni Palace since 23rd of May to 25th of July the «Cassa di Risparmio of Pistoia» Foundation and the Venice Foundation present two exhibitions titled «Twentieth Century Art in Venice and Pistoia banking foundations collections» in collaboration of Pistoia’s township. «1910-2010: A Century of Art in Pistoia. Artworks from the Cassa di Risparmio of Pistoia and Pescia Foundation», by Lara-Vinca Masini, display a collection of nearly ninety works of artists like Marino Marini, Galileo Chini, Giovanni Michelucci, Pietro Bugiani, Agenore Fabbri, Roberto Barni, Fernando Melani – not yet shown to pubblic – which goes since the beginning of 19th century to these days. The exhibition is completed by an itinerary through Pistoia and its district, adding in works financed by «Cassa di Risparmio of Pistoia and Pescia» Foundation. This itinerary includes the statue «Cavaliere» by Marino Marini in the Tau Palace, the glass walls realized for St Peter and Immaculate Conception Churches by Sigfrido Bartolini and Umberto Buscioni and nineteen permanent site-specific installations by Anselm Kiefer, Daniel Buren, Sol Lewitt. «Venice and the Biennial’s Century. Paintings, glasses and photographs of Venice Foundation collection», by Enzo Di Martino, documents the history of venetian institution with: forty paintings of Boccioni, De Pisis, Vedova; thirty-six Murano glasses, created by legendary glassmakers and artists like Tapio Wirkkala, Carlo Scarpa e Paolo Venini; a selection of photos of the main artists of 20th century, in most of these portrayed during the preparation of their biennal space.
