What is the relationship between TDF and China?
TDF has existed for more than 20 years: we are frequently in China and we know both who buy Buying Office in Italy, which agents representing Italian houses, the showrooms in Shanghai and some leaders of the Italian branches in China, almost all in Shanghai. Often act as consultants for Italian companies to search for agents / distributors / licensees / partners looking for financial partners and of course production.

In practice, what do you offer?
We also work to find suppliers of fabrics in China and, increasingly, manufacturing partners, façonnist, industrial production or workshop for Sub-contracting for large groups but also in PME Italian men, women and children, sportswear, underwear, stockings, ... INTERTEXMILANO / READY TO SHOW is the platform for these meetings in Milan twice a year, in February and September. The next will be 15 to 17 February 2011. Despite the increase in production costs, China remains the leading supplier of Italy. However, we are very careful also to proposals from Bangladesh, Vietnam and other ASEAN countries... in addition, of course, Euromed! On the export front, back, the news from 2010 is the gradual opening of Chinese market for small and medium Italian enterprises not only the giants in the wake of commercial success and positive image of not only Zegna, Ferragamo and others... More and more Chinese financial and commercial partners interested in finding new distribution opportunities in China's second tier of Italian companies. Made in Italy is already a brand in itself in favor of even medium-sized companies, small as long as there is style and product!

Mode Shanghai 2011: What are the prospects?
NIn 2010 we created an area of 1,000 sq Italy. Gross, in which we have placed 40 companies selected Prêt-à-Porter woman / man and accessories + skin / fur (no baby, no underwear). With the experience gained in 2010 and the passage in the Theme Pavilion of Expo, we plan to strengthen this involvement, but always keeping a selection of products for the Chinese market. Even for European exhibitors, we have been entrusted with the selection and coordination. Of course the team who also works with Chinese buyers is a great help for us!

Other?
Among the projects for 2011, there is also participating in SHANGHAI MODE to October 2011 than in March. In fact, SHANGHAI MODE will be the first exhibition in China to offer two editions a year, precisely because it offers collections on the same model that we know in Italy: A / W 2011/2012 to March 2011, P / E 2012 to October 2011. Since March 2011, Shanghai will for the first time in China, a unit of time and place for fashion shows. The shows of the Shanghai Fashion Week will begin on March 16, the first day of MODE SHANGHAI, and for some brands, will also take place on site, the Theme Pavilion of Expo. We are members for years of ITALIAN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE IN CHINA and we keep track of all initiatives. Currently we work very well for a proposed opening of the Italian collective showroom in Shanghai, an incubator for Italian companies that do not yet have a distributor and does not have the strength to open their showroom. With a very reasonable financial commitment will enjoy a first-order and location of many services "in time-sharing" features of Italian and Chinese staff. They have shown interest in this project also sponsors and suppliers to the 'art of living "Italian, from design to food. When you think of Shanghai, there are no ideas or opportunities...
