The exhibition is devoted to the great director Stanley Kubrick in the meantime of the opening of the 67. International Exhibiton of Cinema in Venice that, just here in 1997, gave the award to Kubrick with the Gold Lion for the career. In the exhibition we can see 200 pictures made by Stanley Kubrick from 1945 to 1950 when he was just 17 years old and was employed by the American magazine Look.

The exhibition, cared by Rainer Crone, organised by Giunti Arte Mostre Musei, in co-operation with the Library of Congress of Washington and the Museum of the City of New York, is the proper witness of this great photographer to be able to represent the daily life in America just after the war, especially concerning the city of New York that was going to become the new world capital, or the age of Dixieland musicians or the artists of the circus.

The eye of Kubrick has perceived different images of life according to the moments in which he was travelling throughout America or abroad as for instance in Portugal after the war, or Betsy Furstenberg that is the symbol of the lively life in New York at that time, the young shoe shiners at the corners of the streets in New York.

The exhibition has been organised by Giunti Arte that published a nice and useful catalogue which is the most complete work published in Italy about the art of Kubrick.
