For the first time the Region of Basilicata shows its treasures beyond the borders. In fact the splendours of the hidden baroque, art in Basilicata and within the borders from Luca Giordano to the eighteenth century is the exhibition by Elisa Acanfora which has begun in Palazzo Medici Riccardi in the heart of Florence.

The exhibition is under the high patronage of the President of the Italian Republic and with the support and the hospitality of the Province of Florence.

The Florentine place has been chosen properly: in fact the ancient Palace of the Medici represents the symbol of the baroque art, thanks to the lovely work by Luca Giordano that is the well-known painted Gallery. Going through the exhibition we can admire paintings, drawings and wooden sculptures ( 49 masterpieces ) which are not very well-known by the public, and this is the first time they are exhibited out of their region.

Therefore this is a nice and useful opportunity to see this special and fine event of art in the magnificence of the Medici Riccardi Palace in Florence the unique place of this extraordinary exhibition coming from the Region of Basilicata.
